Advanced Level Spreads

The Fan

This is an excellent and incredibly thorough spread which is ace for a good, lengthy general reading. It takes a lot out of you so be warned. Before you bid the enquirer shuffle choose a court card from the Minor Arcana to represent your enquirer. I have shown the position of this card below as a 'c'. Layout your cards as such, in each group lay out three cards;

				[group 4]

			[group 3]	[group 5]

		[group 2] [group 6]

	[group 1] [c] [group 7]

The three cards in group one show you the character of the enquirer and the recent events in their life.

The second group of three tells you about their love life and any strong emotional ties they have.

The third group shows you the enquirers innermost desires.

The fourth group shows you what the enquirer expects to gain from life.

The fifth group reveals the unknown factors involved.

The sixth group shows you the events of the near future.

The last group shows you into the further future.

Finding the path

This reading gives open advice in answer to any question to those seeking aid to living their lives. This one is quite tricky in that you must remember two meanings for each card position. Layout your cards as below and in a moment I will explain what I mean.

			[1]

		[2] [7]

		[3] [6]

		[4] [5]

Card one shows you the question, its benefits and negatives. Its risks and chances.

The column on the left shows us the enquirers conduct up until this moment.

card two shows conscious attitude, logical thought and rational behaviour. What you have been thinking

Card three shows your irrational thoughts, hopes and fears - or what you have been feeling.

Card four shows us what others have seen you as - your outward appearance and how you present yourself to the world.

Now, the right had column suggests ways that you should conduct yourself in future in order to benefit the outcome of your desire.

Card seven shows your conscious attitude again, but this time gives suggestions on changing your approach.

Card six suggests alternative emotional attitude changes.

Card five shows you how you could change your outward conduct in order to achieve you dream or answer. You should pay attention to this card and do as it suggests.

The Calendar Spread (in full)

This is another excellent general reading, which forms two readings in one. The first way to read the spread is to layout the cards as if each one represents a month. Twelve cards in a circle giving a yearly overview and traditionally used at new year. This second reading I am detailing here is slightly more advanced and, rather than each card representing a month read the spread as each card representing the astrological sign of that month as such;

			[10]

		[11] [9]

	[12] [8]

[1] [7]

	[2] [6]

		[3] [5]

			[4]

Card one represents the Aries in you: what you are and how you are.

Card two represents the Taurus in you: What you have and how you own it.

Card three represents the Gemini in you: What you think and how you think it.

Card four represents the Cancer in you: What you feel and how you feel it.

Card five represents the Leo in you: what you desire and how you desire it.

Card six represents the Virgo in you: what you analyse and how you resolve things.

Card seven represents the Libra in you: what you balance and how you juggle it.

Card eight represents the Scorpio in you: what you demand and how you demand it.

Card nine represents the Sagittarius in you: what you see and how you see it.

Card ten represents the Capricorn in you: what you gain and how you benefit from it.

Card eleven represents the Aquarius in you: what you know and how you know it.

Card twelve represents the Pisces in you: What you believe and how you believe in it.
