The Colour Pink...
Normally pink is made from the subtle combination of a dash of red in white. Occasionally a strange shade may contain a hint of blue. again pink carries the same echo of spirituality that purple does, but to a much less serious degree. Intensity of this colour varies so wildly that some can often find it physically uncomfortable to be in the presence of it.
Though in traditional western culture pink is often thought of as a feminine choice this could not be farther from it's actual truth. Pink consists of red, yes, but it is chiefly white, showing the masculine. We can see that through a recent trend in pink shirts in the male market fashion designers are finally starting to wake up to its potential. Eastern males have known this for many hundreds of years however, and have often used the colour as an expression of yin and yang.
Certain shades of pink (magenta for example) have come to show some strange results in experimentation. Prolonged exposure seems to increase the already agitated viewee's level of frustration - whereas within the first ten minutes it was shown to calm them down. Scientists deduced from this that the prolonged exposure to the red energy reignites their confrontational desires.
In short, pink is a tricky colour to wear properly or handle well. Try adding a piece of rose quartz to a room to increase yin and yang harmonies - but try not to go overboard.
Pink and You
If you are the type of person who is always rushing here and there, and juggling a hundred projects at once - then adding a splash of pink to your outfit is just the thing for you. It will bring your attention level up, help focus attention on you and also emit a harmony that will resonate in others.
If there is a lack of pink in your home or wardrobe this is a sign that you have many barriers. Pink is the colour of self esteem - of loving yourself. A total absence of pink shows that no matter how much feeling you might have for others - you still have little love for yourself. Accept your self, and buy some pink shoes!
Pink emotions are all about your feelings of self. Although it is traditionally the healing colour associated with the emotional rather than the physical presence - this can often lead you down a path that will chance some kind of emotional release. Be prepared for this; a pink area will allow a space in your home where you might self reflect...but it will also provide an area where you will find it impossible to lie to yourself in.
