Color Therapy: Blue!

An introduction.
Hi there and welcome!
If you are new to hubpages and want to join please take a moment to stop by the hubpages community site. If you don't know anything about colour therapy you can find the first in this string of explanatory hubs here. If you are in the right place then I do hope you find this helpful. Today I am looking specifically at the colour blue and the many meanings and energies it contains.
Blue as an energy
Blue can be found everywhere in our environment. From the sea to the sky to the oceans that cover our planet. There is an abundance of blue in this world - and blue is a peaceful colour...So why then do we not live in a more placid world?
Well, blue is also the colour of ice - and ice reminds us of pain - of extreme conditions and harsh weather. It is a cold colour, and sometimes the overwhelming lack of warmth in its extreme can only serve to bring cold, unloving vibes into your life. So, whilst it is perfectly suitable to have different shades of blue mixed together in order to create a calm area or appearance: it is advisable to break the colour up with some darker, warmer shades - perhaps a very reddy violet.
Blue represents the flow of life, the capacity of the unknown within the universe - expanse, space and All.
Blue and you
Physically blue represents the flow of energy around your body. When the pathways and connections are not open and not communicating with or receiving each other, you may require a little blue to your environment or clothing to help the energy circulate.
It is well known for it's calming affect. Particularly to us westerners who regard it most when we are on holiday and at leisure. Heed my earlier warning though if you do decide to decorate in blue - do not let it become frosty.
For many hundreds of years (and particularly in Christianity) blue has held a connection to the divine. The virgin Mary's cloak for example, and old lead- painted church windows were often depicted in blue - giving a sense of peace, compassion and wordly wisdom.
Blue is also often connected with spirituality and the psychic mediums. It is believed that blue crystals such as sapphire's or Lapis Lazuli will help to attune your psychic abilities.
If you are going for a job interview, or perhaps you are training people at work - maybe you are a teacher or a lecturer. If this is so then wearing blue will help to inspire other's confidence in you.

Blue is one of my most favorite colors, now I can understand why. Thanks! I love sapphire's too!
